ARE YOU WRITING WOMEN’S FICTION?
Some
authors are theoretically unaware their fiction novel is women’s fiction until
they compose a query letter. While the general audience may be geared toward women,
this doesn’t necessarily mean the book itself is women’s fiction. So, what is
women’s fiction? It is the subject and situations involving female individuals and
their plight, with the character’s journey at the center of the theme, and is
relatable by female readers.
Some
examples of women’s fiction:
Orphan
Train, by Christina Baker Kline
Who
Asked You? by Terry McMillan
First
Sight, by Danielle Steel

type of women’s fiction would you like to write?
